Laser-128 Graphics

I seem to recall reading at one time that the Laser-128 has a couple 
of graphics modes that are not available on any Apple produced II.  I 
think they fell inbetween Double Hi-res and 320 Super Hi-res.

Anyone know where I can get some information on how to program in 
these modes on a Laser?  Something I've always wanted to eventually do 
was create a program of some sort that would recognize exactly what 
type of II or compatible it was running on and then automatically 
configure itself to make use of that system's best features, such as 
Double Hi-res on a IIc or enhanced IIe, Super hi-res on a IIGS, or 
these mysterious undocumented modes on the Laser-128.
