Re: tsk tsk tsk...press
Dr. Dr. Dr. Dr. B0Z0 outgassed these fumes:
GVE| Anyone noticed that all of Apple's recent press releases (since
| Jobs has taken over control) feature that nice little ending:
| Apple Computer, Inc. ignited the personal computer revolution in
| the 1970s with the Apple II, and reinvented the personal computer
| I thought that Apple II was a dirty word.
I know there's a great flamewar which could ignite by me saying that the
same could be said for the word "God", given a context. It's safe to
say that Apple created a revolutionary computer 20 years ago, but it is
not to actually speak ABOUT the computer and verbotin to speak of USE of
it. (Okay, so "Apple II" is more like the word "sex" -- you can say it
exists, but you can't say what it is for or how it is used.)
Is it hypocritical for Apple to praise itself for creating the Apple II
while sidestepping how they treated the machine or its users? You
decide. Apple's press has little to do with Apple brand computers of
late, so it it hypocritical to mix Apples [sic] with oranges like that?
