Apple II mentioned in recent news article

I periodically do searches for "Apple II" using Lexis/Nexis and 
am often surprised to see what comes up.  I can't reproduce entire
articles here (because of copyright) but I can post excerpts.  Here is a
portion from the June 1, 1997 Orange County Register, p.K8:

"   Like one of those big-haired, big-gutted people on Jerry Springer,
I have a confession to make.  For the past decade, I've been the
victim of an abusive relationship.  Neglected, slapped, unloved, and
yet, I keep coming back for more.  My lover is Apple Computer.

Like many Apple fans, I continue to worship the company and its
machines, living in that romantic haze of yesteryear.  Just as I
remember the first kiss from the first girl to break my heart, I
remember the tender touch of that Apple II.  There was nothing quite
like it.  Nothing so seductive.  Nothing so intuitive."

The article continues to speak about Apple and Macs in romantic terms,
and how the writer has recently become abused in the relationship.
