FYI:  until the structure of Wintel machines is changed in some way, DOS
will always be a part of the architecture and always underneath whatever
version of Windows exists.  It hasn't gone away just because people are
running Win '95 or Win 3.1.  In fact, system calls are made to it all the
time.  And I know quite a few people who still use DOS-based programs as
well, just like there are quite a few people (myself included) in this
group who use Apple ][ machines as hobby equipment, their only computer, or
whatever.  I would think that someone like yourself who used to be a
regular here would have appreciation and a little sensitivity towards
that....
