Actually, Macs can use parallel printer interfaces with a package called
"PowerPrint" that comes with a parallel to serial cable for the Mac and 4
disks full of drivers from which to print. Don't know if there is a
thermal driver on there, but the cable could definitely be used!

This is to be expected. Many, many people are new to computing--"new" as
in the past couple of years or so. Naturally, they would not know about
Apple II's.
