    Actually it is even less than a case, it is just the lid cover that
was different (extra printing on the right side). The complete case is
nice to have mind you, since you would have the low serial number too.

    Heh, and to think I was disappointed I didn't send in the registration
card for my ROM 3, and missed out on a plastic disk carrying box with an
Apple logo on it. ;) I wonder what the chances are of finding one of those
old certificates today, and in decent condition.

    I just swapped the lid on my ROM 3, but probably would have changed the
whole case if it I had it. One of these days I wouldn't mind finding a mint
ROM 00 box with Woz signature and the original (faulty) VGC chip like you 
did. I suppose a IIgs in a IIe case would be neat too, though I think a
Platinum IIe would make a more interesting collectable. :) (Not really
anything unique about the IIe upgrade, other than the metal base plate 
and sticker plate IDs).
