     Yes; it is pretty certain that GS BASIC never got beyond a late beta 
stage. (Version 1.0B4, September 1987, is a late, perhaps the last, 
update.)

     Naturally, Apple would be reluctant to officially release an unpolished 
product; and, based upon a recent check, GS BASIC does seem to have 
disappeared from the larger A2 websites. It is sure to be available on a few 
BBS's which continue to include Apple II wares in their archives.

     Mike's decision to start a for-real New BASIC project is one of this 
year's highlights. It will be fun to try GSoft!
