If you want to make finding and launching programs easier there's a
couple of things you can do. If your running off of a hard drive you
can create aliases for all of your most frequently used programs.
Place the aliases in a folder and drag the folder out onto the desktop.
On our "family" GS everyone has their own folder of aliases out on the
desktop. If your programs are on flopies just drag the application
itself out on the desktop. That way whenever you place the disk in a 
drive the application pops right out where you can get at it.
