  How can i make a formatted disk a boot floppy? I've got appleworks
to format a disk, but i want to make a backup of modem disk
from Steve Cavanaugh. I don't have a copy of the ProDOS utilities
disk, but i suspect there is another way...

If you are using AppleWorks older that version 4.0 any disk that you
format will not have the proper boot blocks written to it, No matter
if you put ProDOS and Basic.System on it, it will still come up with
a message of being an AppleWorks data disk, not a startup disk. You will
need either the Apple System Utilities or another program like Copy II 
Plus or PROSEL.
