Fingerprint card help

[Clairemont High School <clairmnt@n2.net>]

We recently acquired a rev b-3 fingerprint plus card w/ no docs.
 
I put the fingerprint in slot 4
(slot 3 has Zip-GS, slot 7 focus drive))
 
When I press the fingerprint button it crashes to plain blue screen   :(
 
Does anyone know of any self-test or other
to check if the card is indeed good?
 
Any other steps to help solve the problem?
 
I tried booting w/ no inits/das, & no zip GS, but same crash.
 
I'm open for ideas!
