well, for a brief moment last night my gs was on the net.  after
mucking with the connect script, the connection was made between my gs
and slirp running within a shell from a machine here at work.
unfortunately, shortly after i telnetted to a machine, my system
crashed.  nevertheless, i'm very impressed with richard's work, and
will definitely register my copy on or after october 10th as per his
instruction.
