How do I land the plane in Wings of Fury Apple II game?

This is a game by Broderbund, it looks like it got influenced a bunch by 
choplifter.  It has the same idea of "3d" shapes, and when you turn 
around, you can see all sides of the plane.

You get to choose if you want to use bombs, torpedoes, or missiles, and 
you have to bomb buildings and stuff.

I cannot figure out how to land on the aircraft carrier once I have bombed 
everything.

If you know the general controls, like what joystick directions do, it 
would help.
