It'd help if you said what model. There were three models early on, LS, NT,
and NTR. The LS doesn't do postscript so it's out, but the other two do.
The NTR is the best of the three since it does postscript level 2 and has a 
RISC processor.

Apple recycled the Personal Laserwriter name after these three were discontin-
ued. There was a PLW 320, and it uses a different print engine so toner
cardtridges etc won't interchange.

The rule of thumb for Laserwriters is as long as it uses postscript, it'll
work with the native GS/OS drivers and the IW emulator. I've never seen
any exceptions, but then again I've never tried out a color Laserwriter or
some of the new 600 DPI types.
