The Apple II Reference Manual (which came with the II+) is a very good
information source. The IIe Techical Reference Manual and the GS Hardware
Reference Manual are, also, good sources.
Along with Slot information, you will need information about IC's. Be
sure to check with WDC and GTE for 65Cxx interface IC data sheets and
manuals.
Look for Slot card design examples. You may find something very close
to what you're aiming for among the numerous build-it-yourself articles
published in old A2 magazines.
