 JDO| A friend was trying to boot her Apple IIgs when the dread words
    | above appeared.  She had AppleWorks 5.1 in S1D5 (the boot drive),
    | and RAMfast in slot 3.  I believe she had already removed her hard
    | drive and zip drive.

If she's booting off a 3.5" disk why does she need the RamFast?  And if
she doesn't have a hard drive on her RamFast, there's something...

Not unless you tell us WHAT ERROR CODE NUMBER came up.
