If the archive you're trying to unpack has files with resource
forks in them, you'll need to use GS-Shrinkit to unpack them. ProDOS
8, the OS Shrinkit runs under, is unable to either read or write
forked files. There are some archives without forked files that
should unpack fine.

That program only removes any resource fork crud from the actual
archive file itself. Files inside the archive may have had resource
forks for a good reason, and removing them will tend to make them not
work.
