Help with IIGS Keyboard Repair

I recently bought a used IIGS.  Apparently someone spilled a coke or
softdrink in the keyboard as some keys are very mushy.  I would like
to take the keyboard apart and clean it if possible.  I have removed
the 3 screws on back but the keyboard cover still doesn't come apart.
Is there some trick to opening the keyboard.  I am reluctant to force
it open as I don't want to break it.  Any suggestions would be
appreciated.   Thanks Sam
