IIgs disk drive(maybe computer) problem, Can YOU help???

The problem is with a WOZ ROM 01.

It has an apple 1 meg RAM card, that is the only card.

It has 1 3.5 drive connected, and a 5.25.

I put in a 3.5 disk, appleworks (II, not GS).  It boots fine, but then 
crashes into the system monitor right after the Appleworks title screen 
that asks "press key to continue"



Ok, I put another disk in.  Playroom (educational)

Boot, goes through some startup screens, 

Asks "insert disk"  The disk is in the drive!!!

So, I remove disk and place it back in the drive.  Says "insert disk" 
again

I put the same Playroom disk in my IIe (Unidisk 3.5drive), and the program 
works perfectly!


Is there a program available to check if 3.5 drive on IIgs is working 
correctly?

Is there a program available to check if Drive controller chips In IIgs 
are ok?
