How about gathering names of Apple IIgs users all over the world (at least all
of the people on comp.sys.apple2 for example), together with a description of
what he/she is doing. We should first work this further out, but maybe a few
categories like "newbie/novice/experenced, (non)programmer/developer, credits"
etc. It could be stimulating for all of us, and be handy to find partners for
developing software. I myself have found csa2 prety depressive the last
months. Okay, I have been on vacation, and after getting back and having a bit
more sense of reality again, I find the whole thing about the GS being a super
computer a bit blown up. Not that I will give up my GS, but I'm thinking more
and more of buying a wintel or mac computer for a few bucks. Sometimes I have
the feeling that the few people that contribute alot to the apple II community
are spending more time & energy on it than its worth. I for example haven't
had any positive contributions from Apple II users in Holland for over a year
while I know there are still many of them left. This really works
demotivating. And then all the dropouts, friends who leave the scene, or
become just passive persons; non-contributing to the use & fun of an Apple II
computer.
Well, just some thought from my side.
