Expansion cards, which were theorized but never released. Ideas for
some of them are in the VOC manuals and developer's kit.

Never heard that. The few VCRs that had a form of computer control
tended to be serial input (i.e. null modem-- the most robust way to
connect any two computing devices), or you could always hack up a IR
transmitter to send commands to a VCR via either the serial port or
the 16-pin game connector. For details on the latter, try taking a look
