Problem with an Apple imagewriter printer

I have an Apple imagewriter, and I'd love to be able to change the grip on
the printer so that it can properly hold env elopes and checks.  As it
stands, I print checks and things (non-tractor -- standard) and they slip
around to easily.

Are there ways to tighten the grip for certain things?  I don't have a
manual anymore, but I thought there may be answers he6e.  Please e-mail me.

Also, I need to change a ribbon, however, I am blind...So i am not sure how
to remove the old one and install a new one..Can someone advise me what i
should be feeling for and how to go about this, too?
