Yes, Richard Bennet demonstrated his TCP/IP control panel device
(CDEV) for GS/OS at KansasFest this year. It is being released as
freeware and does not require GNO/ME. It will not be available for a
short while, he has stated that only KansasFest '97 attendees will be
able to register the program before the 1st of September so I imagine
it will be available to the public shortly after that.

He is asking for people using it to register it so that he can get an
idea of how many people are still actively using their IIgs's.

At present there is only a simple Telnet program available for it but
I'm sure that will change VERY quickly. I believe he said that he
would be releasing some programmer's information for it.

Another interesting KansasFest tidbit is Mike Westerfield's
annoucement of a BASIC programming language for the IIgs that will
also be available for Windows and Mac machine. Apparently the source
code will run with no (or at least little) modification on any of the
platforms. It it supposed to be released sometime before the end of
the year.

Things are looking pretty good for the IIgs again.
