Almost a year ago, many of us told csa2'ers that if they had access to
telnet, they could sign up for a Delphi account for US$35 for an entire
year. That's less that $3 a month. Let me repeat that...if you already
have an ISP, you can Telnet to Delphi for less than $3 a month. That's 10
US cents a day.
If $3 a month for a flame free environment that's peopled with friendly
Apple II users is just toooo much money, then just point your web browser to
www.delphi.com and sign up for their free access to the Apple II areas on
Delphi.
That said...even though it's free, and you can access Delphi with your web
browser, you must request access, and once on Delphi's Apple II interactive
web pages, you will be held to the common rules of decency that are demanded
in any sane society. Delphi's Apple II area is a healthy, positive and fun
environment to hang out in. And, hard as it might be for many of you to
believe, it's very supportive of the Apple II companies that remain.
No flames, no piracy, no costs.
That said....csa2 needs to be moderated to bring it more into line with the
friendly, healthy, helpful Apple II forums available elsewhere. Either that,
or it needs to be nuked from orbit. The choice is up to all of you.
