Laser disk drives

I have two Laser 3.5" drives. However, they do not have the port on
the back for daisy-chaining. Why do some Laser drives have the port
and others don't? There is a plastic punch-out on the back where the
SB19 port normally would be.

I was also unaware that there are Laser 5.25" drives that have the
DIsk II style 20-pin connectors. I assume these were designed to
be used with the II/II+/IIe rather than with the Laser. I have 2 of
these also. So, it looks like I'm stuck with 4 drives that must be
at the end of the disk drive chain...:<

Info on these drives would be appreciated.
