The Laser 128 is almost 100% compatible with the Apple //e, but it
won't run IIgs software.  I say "almost 100%" because I think there
were one or two relatively obscure programs that didn't work on the
Laser 128.

GEOS will run on both the IIgs and //e, although it's pointless to use
it on a IIgs.  It's not bad.  Takes some getting used to.  If you
don't have a mouse, though, don't bother.  It's just annoying without
it.
