AW ADB files
Help!
I have a few old AppleWorks Data Base files that
were two big to save to one 5.25" disk, so AW:1.2 saved them
to two disks --one segment at 135K and the rest with a length
of what ever was needed to save the rest of the file.
Now I would like to call up these old files with
AW:3.O and save them to a 3.5" disk.
Seems easy enough until you start. AW3 won't load
these ADB files that were saved on more than one disk by
AW:1.2.
The files are okay. I've checked them for errors
with both the finder from System 6.1 and with Prosel. There
are no bad blocks or errors. I've checked the file type, and
the old and the new are the same. I've tried loading them as
text and I get junk. I can get my data by loading them as a
AWP, but then I loose my ADB format.
Surely I'm not the first one to want to convert
old ADB files into a newer version. Please, what is the
secret !?
Thanks,
Steve
