   Hate to burst your bubble, but transfer via 3.5" disks is hardly
new... The FAQs have mentioned it for years.

   Nope, the //e does not have any drive controllers by default, but
you can essentially guarantee that there's a 5.25" drive on the
system.  [If they don't have that, this was probably rescued from a
dumpster or something like that.] You could add a 3.5" drive to the
//e, but in real world experience, I don't think more than 20% of //es
have these. (Most power users would tend to have them, but schools and
basic users sure wouldn't)

   The GS does have a 3.5" controller builtin, and it's fairly
reasonable to expect a 3.5" drive in the system. However, not everyone
with an Apple II has a GS.
