First, I'm sorry for asking a question that has probably been asked many
times before, but I just discovered this group.

the question:
Is it possible to hook up an Imagewriter I (not II, not LQ) to a standard
serial port on the back of my PC?  I know to hook up the two computers, a
null modem cable is needed, but I don't need that for a printer, do I?  I'd
like to use the printer for really basic text and stuff.
