I think someone already mentioned it, but my first foray into the magical
world of word processing was Bank Street Writer. Back in 1984(85) no one
at my high school used computers, let alone word processors. So when
ever I had a paper to write, I would wait until the very last minute, then
type it up using BSW! The paper stunk, but the teachers were so amazed
at the use of a computer (ie italics, bold, underline) that it usually
raised my grade by at least one letter! Whoo Hoo!!
Seriously, I just bought a used copy of Bank Street Writer+ and my wife
uses it in her elementary school classroom!
Ahh the good 'ole days!
