I'm currently using a USR Sportster 14.4 and have no problems. Here's my setup.

Init: ATX4&A0&B1&N0&H1&I0&R2
Proterm Driver: USR HST/HST Dual (RTS/CTS)
Port: IIgs Modem Port (GS/OS)
Modem Control Panel Stuff:

Al default settings except:
Buffering: Yes
Baud: 19200
DSR/DTR Handshake: No
