The problem is not that things are expiring. The problem is that my newsfeed is 
not getting them at all. When I first began to suspect that I was missing 
articles on the ISP I had at home, I began to monitor the number of new 
articles that would appear day to day on my home computer, and compare it to 
the number of new articles on my computer at work, which is hooked up to a 
different newsfeed. The number of new articles I saw at work was about twice 
the number I saw on my home computer.

Likewise, when I post something from home, I have been checking on my computer 
at work to see if the article is actually getting distributed. More often than 
not it isn't getting out, and I have had to do a lot of reposting.

BTW. Be patient about the line length of my posts. I am now posting from work, 
and have not yet figured out how to get the Usenet reader here to chop the 
lines at a better place.
