OK if you really only want to put 512K on the card here's how.

The slinky card has an oddball layout for chip banks. Every fourth chip is
in the same bank. With 256K the chip rows look like this:

---X---X---X---X
---X---X---X---X

Where "-" is an empty socket and X is a chip in a socket. That's with the
card oriented face up, right side up, and the front end of the card to the
left.

A 512K configuration would look like this:

--XX--XX--XX--XX
--XX--XX--XX--XX

And 768K would be:

-XXX-XXX-XXX-XXX
-XXX-XXX-XXX-XXX

And you of course know what a megabyte should look like.

Like I was saying in another article, don't be surprised if RAMworks memory
chips won't work. My RAMworks II came with non CAS/RAS chips, which Apple
cards don't like. I'd use the 286 logic board memory swap I mentioned else-
where to up the memory. Be sure to run the memory card diagnostic after adding
memory too. You do that with a Cs0AG in the monitor, where s is the slot
number.
