I got my 25MHz PC from such a sale for $25. It lacked a hard disk
and had no memory. The owners thought it was broken, but I nursed
it back to health with 8MB and a drive and now it is a fine peripheral
for the GS. :)
I also once saw a Mac LC for $50, with an IWII, but I did not check
to see its condition. It would also be a good peripheral for a GS.
In such sales, the important point is "buyer beware." Such products
are much below market value, but not guaranteed to work. Compare
this to what Alltech or Sun (http://www.allelec.com/ and
http://www.sunrem.com/) sells waranteed reconditioned GS units and
systems ($225 to $500). Reconditioned LC's and 486's go for
around the same.
