    It's a small program file which allows you to load and display GIF 
images (which have their own special associated icon) in 16 colors or 
greyscales, as well as scroll around with the mouse if > 320 x 200.
What makes it special is you can do this by simply double-clicking on
the GIF file's icon in the Finder, and it will automatically be loaded
and displayed (quickly too). Pretty neat and useful, especially if you
want to look at something _right away_ instead of loading a separate 
program (or want to view several GIFs in a folder one after another).

    Todd Whitesel wrote it some time ago, but at that time it was in 
beta and he wanted to add more features (even add support for the
Second Sight board). You can't get it anywhere unfortunately, the 
only people who have it are beta-testers.

    Like I said, if you want to see it released (not a bad idea since
it works and it seems like a defunct project now) try and contact Todd.
He was the former maintainer of the Caltech FTP site, though not sure
if he's still at Caltech. Dan Zimmerman or Nathan might know where he 
is (or he might respond himself if he see this message :).
