What I did several years ago after buying and AMR 60 MB hard drive and
needed to add a delay for the drive to spin up to speed was to write a
BASIC program that gets started from my 3.5" drive and gives me a
short menu of options; quit to the ProDOS mini launcher, boot the hard
drive, quit to BASIC or boot any slot by pressing the slot number.
You could probably do something similar if you have any experience
writing BASIC programs. If not, myself or someone else here could
probably whip one up for you in a few hours.
There are also a ton of program selectors that might work for you. I
wrote one of those up in BASIC as well and I uploaded it to either
ground or caltech (I can't remember which) and called in Selector
v1.0.
