how to acces super serial card in machine langage

I'ts been a while since i touched my apple //e.

I'm doing data-acquisition and i would like to be able to receive
instrumental data through the serial port.

I don't want to use the basic routine IN#2.

i want to know how to initialise the serial port and also be able to get
the incoming
data from a register or accumulator in machine langage.

The card is a ENVOY serial (super serial card compatible)
