If you still have access to an Apple //, you can save the AW files as
text files by hitting Apple-P, and then choosing "Print to Disk",
instead of saving the usual way. You may need to fix the CRs and LFs.
After you've changed your files into text files, the fancy things like
margins, type sizes, bolfaces, etc. will be gone :( . These text
files will need to be sent to your PC via a null-modem cable.
A better way is to use CrossWorks, which automates much of this
process.
Another better way is to use a Mac with ClarisWorks, and transfer AW
files from an Apple // 3.5" drive, thru CW, and have it barf out some
MS Word files.
There are some other ways, too, but to know which ones are possible,
I'd like to know what computers and disk drive sizes you have to work
with.
