    I think a "get-together" best describes it these days, made up of
well-known Apple II personalities and dedicated users. It hasn't been
your typical "computer conference/trade show/vendor-fair" for the last
couple of years now, a reflection of the shrinking Apple II world.
There are definitely still presentation sessions, demos of new software
and selling of goods, but less of a heavy focus on these things. Maybe
you could best describe it as a cross between an informal computer
conference and summer camp. ;)

    I've never attended (although I came very close back in '94) so
I could be way off the mark here, I'm just going by what I've read
or heard from others. It takes place in Kansas City, MO, on the Avila
College campus (once per year) and has people attending from just about
everywhere, even overseas. I think about an average of 50-60 people
usually attend.

    It's kind of like a spin-off from the original AppleFest conferences
back in the 1980's. Of course those were huge, with attendance reaching
as high as 20,000 people (maybe even 50,000 at it's peak year?), with
dozens of major companies and booths just like any other trade-shows.
The neat thing was all these people were there for the Apple II!
