Re: Looking for a Hdw-Han
Michael spewed forth:
YQEA(| electronics stores, Radio Shack, and the idiots at Global
| Village, have no idea what I am talking about and give me the
| "a modem cable is a modem cable" line.
Any place that supports the Mac will have the cable; just ask for a high
speed modem cable. I found one at a thrift recently made by Data Spec,
and have seen them cheap at Egghead Software and so forth.
The idiots at Radio Shack won't know what you're talking about, take it
from a former one. :) When I told them I was an Apple user/supporter
the district manager interviewing me blinked and said "we don't carry
Apple products." Which should tell you something. And he's wrong; in
the store you'll find DB25M-DB25M cables (what I use from my //e's SSC
to a modem) but in the Radio Shack Unlimited catalog you can order the
cable of your desires from them (made by some major brand which slips my
mind)... pricewise, you're best to go with a computer/software store or
one of the Apple-friendly companies like Alltech or MC Price Breakers.
