So what? Mark Munz doesn't own the copyrights to the software.

Mark Simonson owns the copyright. You can make as many satirical wise
cracking comments as you wish, but none of them change the fact of who owns
the copyright.

And, in the only statement the copyright holder _ever_ issued about the
Beagles Collection, he specifically stated that the collection cannot be
uploaded to online services.

That statement however was issued in 1989. Beagle Bros hasn't existed for
years, and who knows...maybe Mark Simonson would gladly turn over those
Beagle Oldies to the public domain or agree for them to be made available as
freeware.

There are at least two former Beagle Bros who drop in to csa2 every once
in a while. I wouldn't be surprised if one of those guys is still in
touch with Mark Simonson. All it'll take to find out the status of the
Beagle Collection is for one of those people to contact Mark Simonson,
and ask him. Believe me, if Mark Munz were to send Willie Yeo an e-mail
saying he'd talked to Mark Simonson, and Mark Simonson no longer cared
about placing restrictions on re-distribution, then no one...not even
me... is going to question it.

And, despite whatever you might think, I want the Beagle Oldies Collection
to be freely available more than anyone. But, until more recent word is
received by the copyright holder, I have to go with the only 'word' I've
ever gotten from the copyright holder. That was what I re-posted the other
day.
