You have a ROM 01, which is notoriously noisy. Sounds like you're getting
some feedback from the 3.5 drives when the Finder checks them for disks. That
can make a little tick sound come from the speaker. Some ROM 01s have so much
noise in them that you can hear a sound resembling a musical scale when you
pull down a menu and run the pointer up and down the menu.
