If there is a single program that will do what Gina wants, I have not
come upon it, either. If a user does not mind a bit of extra work, it should
be possible to move, at least, many ProDOS MECC 5.25" wares to 3.5"
diskette.

The main barrier with practically all MECC wares is copy protection. It
will be necessary to make a deprotected copy of an MECC ProDOS 5.25" disk
before moving files to 3.5" media.

The program Gina mentions is "Meccopy" by John Kielkopf. It seems to
work well for producing deprotected copies of several ProDOS and DOS 3.3
MECC wares on 5.25" disk. I'm pretty sure Meccopy is available on Asimov
and/or Ground.

(Wares which Meccopy does not deprotect can, probably, be deprotected via
one of the methods described in issues of Computist. Usually, these methods
involve using Ray Durrah's "Super I.O.B." and an appropriate controller
module.)

If the idea is to move more than one MECC package onto a 3.5" diskette,
each ware will need its own folder and it may be necessary to modify one or
two programs in order to change volume name references.

Moving DOS 3.3 wares to 3.5" disk would require doing the deprotection
step as well as, probably, mods to programs to get them to run on a ProDOS
3.5" disk.

Moving DOS 3.3 files to an AM DOS 3.5" diskette is another possibility.
(By the way, how do you move stuff to an AM DOS diskette? Is there some AM
DOS file copy utility?)
