I would not assume this. There are at least two different pinouts for
Apple II parallel cards (those of Apple's own Parallel Card, and the
Grappler Plus). I haven't seen documentation for other cards, so I
don't know if any follow the pinout of either of these.
Apple's card is completely different to the PC parallel port pinout.
The Grappler Plus is similar (but not identical) to the PC pinout. The
first thirteen pins match, but several others are grounded, while they
are defined as I/O signals for the PC. This is likely to cause
problems.
Does anyone have documentation on the pinout of Epson cards, the AE
Parallel Pro, or any other parallel cards which use a DB-25 that I
haven't mentioned?
