Warning: if you have an 8 mhz ZipChip in your //e, in place of your
original cpu chip, the RamFast current version will hang the system. I
know, I'm battling that problem now.
I do have current version RamFasts up and running on //e's which use
Transwarp boards to speed thigns up, and they work fine.
Another alternative, and a lot cheaper maybe, is the CMS scsi board
availabe for around $30 from Price Breakers. Unfortunately, it uses a
partitioning system that isn't compatible with RamFast or other Apple scsi
cards, so you won't be able to exchange disks with machines using those
cards.. Maybe not a problem for you.
By the way, if anyone has overcome the Ramfast VS Zipchip problem, lemme
know fast!
