Along with your Audio Animator manual, you should have gotten an insert
entitled "Audio Animator Software v1.3 Addendum". It includes the
following note about the time signature problem:
Time Signature (p.59 - Part I, Ch. 3)
You cannot change the time signatures by clicking on the time
signature icon as described in the manual. Instead, load the file
with the time signature you want from the MIDITIMESIG Folder.
For example, if you want 3/4 time, load the file TIME.3.4 and
record to it. Be sure to save the file to a different name so
you can keep the original intact.
When you try to play back your MIDI songs, do you have your MIDI device
plugged in and turned on, and is the AA box's MIDI OUT plug connected to
the device's MIDI IN jack? The MIDI Sequencer can only play to a MIDI
device--it can't play to the built-in speaker or to the AA speakers.
Is the CARD8530.MIDI driver selected with the MIDI Control Panel? Is the
MIDI Control Panel installed in your System:CDevs folder? Is TOOL032 (the
MIDI toolset) installed in your System:Tools folder?
