   Actually, most consumer Pentium motherboards (especially those
using the original Triton chipset) don't use parity memory. Parity is
useful for high-end servers and the like where you'd rather have ths
system complain and possibly reboot than have bad data being passed
around. What's even nicer are those ECC (error correcting, not a GS
group) memory blocks that'll fix small memory errors for you.
