Actually Music Composer uses essentialy the same format as synthLAB. You
still can only play 7 voices. The MIDIsynth manual says you can sound
like you're playing more by steeling from another oscilator, but I don't
know about that. What Music Composer does do:
Of course you can compose and edit music. Any note, any MIDI item
including MIDI system exclusive items.
You can write to 16 tracks. If you are doing this just for MIDI this
works fine. You won't be able to here 16 tracks on the IIGS, but if you
play to a another MIDI device you will.
Imports synthLAB, Sound Smith, Music Studio and Standard MIDI files.
Like Sound Smith you can create seperate blocks of music and play back the
blocks in any order and any number of times.
