Patrick's response:

The Mountain Computer Clock Card (aka the Mountain Clock) was originally 
manufactured prior to the development of ProDos and came with the card, 
a standard nine-volt ni-cad battery, an external power supply, a manual, 
and a Dos 3.3 5.25" disk of sample programs.

I have 3 ro 4 of the package.  I have used up the 9-volt batteries from
each
but have added the ProDos routines and sample programs I developed in
Basic
to the other side of the floppy disk and also added a supplement to the
manual
describing the technical details of the ProDos implementation.

Since I was using the Card mostly with ProDos I have developed extensive
utilities in Basic for the necessary Card functions to use with ProDos. 
These programs can be modified for use with DOS 3.3 as well.

The Card's clock can get power from the Apple bus, the 9-volt battery, 
or the external power supply. The battery is to keep the card powered 
during power outages or while the computer is being moved. The power 
supply serves to keep the card powered and the battery recharged.
The power supply is of that type of black box that plus directly into
a receptacle and has a cor running to a socket on the Card.

Since my scanner is down and the Mountain Cards/Manuals are in storage 
I hope this information is adequate for now.
