Actually, you can get the MacOS to run on a Lisa with 1/2 meg of ram (Your
right about system 7). The latest version I have on mine is system 3.2.
(This was also the last version available from apple before it went to
Sun).
To get system 7 to run you had to do some funky stuff to your lisa. There
was a special video chip and connector which would force the oval shaped
pixels on the lisa screen to a square shape. There was also some other
changes which had to be done to run system 7, all of which are/were
available from Sun.
