Zip Insider - is it GS compatible?

Has anyone succeeded in using the Zip SCSI Insider drive? This
is an internal Zip Drive mechanism that fits into a drive bay.
Is the connector a standard socket for an IDC50 ribbon connector?
Will it work as well on the Apple IIGS? I have an external SCSI
cabinet with an extra drive bay and want to install it there.
(The good thing about the Insider is that it lacks a wall wart PS!)
